Life. in . Melbourne. City. Nothing like I'd imagined it would be. But everything that I needed it to be: awakening, humbling, enlightening, gratifying. Moving to a new city filled me with lots of emotions - fatigue, excitement, longing, regret, fear, anxiety, surprise, joy. You name it, I've felt it over the course of the 38 days that I've been on this continent.
On this day, I visited Fed Square to soak in the smells, scents, sounds, textures, vibrations and vibes at the heart of Melbourne. Children a-playing. Mothers a-watching. Cyclists a-riding. Tourists a-observing. Cars a-moving. Horses a-trotting. People a-basking.
Melbourne city is bustling but gentle, it's rocking but humming. Understated but loud, cozy but foreign.
Here's a vlog off my YouTube Channel (Craving Yellow)...and then some pics, of course! :-)
"It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird but it would be harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. We cannot go on, indefinitely, just being ordinary, decent eggs. We must be hatched or go bad."
Even the birds have enough courage to poop, then stand on his head! Loooll!!!
"Far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." ~Theodore Roosevelt.
Let's talk about those dreadlocks. All day, everyday. *Gasp!*
" You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination." ~ Roman Payne
I hope that you'll find it within you to risk happiness, wherever it may lead you!!
As always, love and sunshine!
