There's something utterly divine about being a woman. I daresay, it's our ability to connect one with another and form deep lasting friendships. A fellow woman's heart understands my own. In unspoken conversations we can sense hurt, tiredness, excitement or contentment. There's truly something utterly divine, unmistakably beautiful and graciously fulfilling about having girlfriends.
This post is specially dedicated to the girls, women, ladies, curl-friends, partners-in-crime in my life that have elevated me. Your friendship has been like a healing balm - we've grown together, challenged each other, encouraged one another...laughed, cried (that ugly wailing cry), sobbed, celebrated and simply just lived. That is just precious - that our journeys connected, that you and I, we clicked from day one, we shopped, we studied, we partied. That, in and of itself, is precious.
On this day, my gals - Mmas, Neo, Marcela, Nicole - and I went shopping for graduation week. Shopping is one of my absolute favorite pastimes! We had lots of fun trying out clothes we couldn't afford and buying some that we could. We ate, gossiped, laughed, caught up...you know the vibe...! Go on and take a sneak peak..
"When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with cries of "me too!"be sure to cherish them. Those weirdos are your tribe!!"
Of course, we aren't always as baazziicckk as were when we went shopping. When we need to attend events, we put all that shopping to good use and transform into self-respecting divas! Hahaha!!
Here's a few behind-the-scenes snippets from graduation week.
"A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life." Isadora James.
...and of course some much-needed goofing around!! Haha!!
"If I had one prayer this year, it would be this: that I would be as good a friend to you as you've been to me."
Love and sunshine,
